European Bridal Tradition

Continental wedding traditions is a wonderful way to celebrate the unique ethnicities of Europe and their cultures surrounding love and marriage. Many of these traditions have a distinct interpretation and symbolism attached to them, whether it is for chance, wealth or to retain the evil ghosts at sea. Some of these customs does seem odd or ridiculous to us nowadays but they are deeply rooted in culture and have been passed down over the years for centuries.

For case, in France after the official rites and the celebration, it is traditional to accumulate outside the newlyweds’ screen to bang pots and pans with them – this is known as “la charivari”. This is to hope them excellent fortune and price them from any economical worries they may have. It is also done to remind them of the joy and excitement that their wedding day brought them, as well as to send them more good wealth in their coming jointly.

Another European wedding tradition is the” Krevati”. This involves friends and family members placing cash on the woman’s base for fertility, healthiness and success. They typically leave a little more than that and if they are very wealthy, they may also product them with a home or a mansion czech brides!

Candied pistachios are also a Western marriage history. They are given to all attendees who attend a bride and indicate luck, health, respect and success. They are usually pinned to the brides clothes by their customers, much like the wedding bands.
